Remove winter debris first
Start with branches, compacted leaves and debris so lawn and bed conditions are easy to assess. This also reveals drainage issues and winter damage that may need attention.
Refresh edges and planting beds
Clean bed lines immediately improve curb appeal. After edging, review mulch depth, weeds, damaged plants and exposed soil before adding new material.
Inspect high-traffic lawn areas
Thin, compacted or heavily damaged areas may need soil improvement, overseeding or sod replacement. Correcting the cause is more useful than covering the symptom.
